Overview
Coach Duardo is a personal cycling coaching app. This page explains what data it accesses, what happens to it, and how to have it deleted. If anything here is unclear, email Coach Duardo and ask.
What we access
Strava. Your ride history, through Strava's own authorization flow. We read activity data (distance, power, heart rate, elevation, timing) to calculate training metrics and give you feedback on rides.
Health data. If you allow it, we read data from your phone's health platform, specifically sleep, heart rate variability, resting heart rate and weight, used so coaching accounts for how you're recovering, not just how far you rode.
Nothing is accessed without your explicit permission, granted through Strava's own login screen or your phone's own permission prompts.
What happens to it
Ride and health data is sent to Coach Duardo's own backend, Hermes, which calculates training load metrics (CTL, ATL, TSB) and prepares context for the coaching features. When you chat with a coaching persona, ask for a ride analysis, or request a ride summary, relevant data is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate that response. Training load metrics themselves are computed on-device.
Posting to Strava
If you ask Coach Duardo to draft a ride summary, you always see it before anything happens. It's only posted to your Strava activity if you tap Post, after reviewing or editing the text yourself. Nothing is posted automatically.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers or data brokers. It isn't used for anything beyond generating the coaching response you asked for.
Storage and retention
Data is retained only as needed to run the app: calculating your training load, remembering context for coaching, and tracking usage against fair-use limits.
Deleting your data
Email Coach Duardo and ask. You can also revoke Coach Duardo's access to your Strava account at any time from Strava's own connected apps settings, and disable health data access from your phone's own privacy settings.
Third parties involved
Strava, for ride data (subject to Strava's own privacy policy). Anthropic's Claude API, to generate coaching responses (subject to Anthropic's own privacy policy). No other third party sees your data.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the app changes. The version at this URL is always the current one.
